Good news all!!!  Rep. Charlie Gonzalez (D-TX-20), from San Antonio, has agreed to sponsor the CARE bill in the House.  Mr. Gonzalez sits on the Health Subcommittee of the House Energy & Commerce Committee and will play a role in the upcoming House discussions on health reform.  We are working with Julie Hart in his office.

Now is the time to reach out to all of your contacts and let them know CARE is on its way in the House and that Mr. Gonzalez wants to build a huge cosponsor list quickly.  Ask your folks to call their congressmen (especially if they are on Energy & Commerce and Ways & Means committee) and get them in touch with Julie to cosponsor.  The House and Senate are on Independence Day recess next week and will come back into session on July 7.

BTW, Nick Gimmi bravely hit 18 offices on the Hill with Dave and I last Monday and did an awesome job representing your profession.  Yea Nick!
