Message from the President – Tiffani Walker

It’s all about Annual Meeting!

It’s that time again – time for imaging specialists across the state to come together for a time of networking, learning, and re-energizing! In other words, it’s time for the 84th Annual Meeting & Clinical Symposium! If you haven’t heard, Annual Meeting this year will be at Tarrant County College in Fort Worth, TX on March 11th & 12th.

Just like the popular song, Friday is “All About the Student”!  We’re bringing the future of TSRT into the spotlight for the day! We want our students to have fun and see that we support them outside of the clinical setting. We have made Saturday “All About the Tech” as we focus on the education needs for technologists.  We are offering 12 hours of instructor lead presentations.  Attend all the classes or just a few.  It’s up to you!

Please make plans to attend the special sessions as well as the Business Meeting that will be held on Saturday. Your input is important to us, and sometimes the best way we can resolve issues and answer questions is face-to-face in these sessions.

If you are an educator, please plan to attend the Alliance for Educators on Friday evening. The hot button issue is the move to the Texas Medical Board. Also the beginning of our student leadership program and how to get students more involved.

As you can see, a lot of things are happening at this year’s Annual Meeting! We need your voice to continue affecting issues facing imaging specialists across our state and to strengthen our organization. We hope to see you there!

President Elect Report – Brian Rich

With the convention fast approaching, our President Elect, is preparing for his role as President.  We encourage everyone to attend the Business Meeting on Saturday to hear the Message from the President of TSRT.  Brian Rich will be presenting his goals for TSRT 2016-2017.  Come spend time with him and start networking with the future leader of TSRT.

Vice President Report – Jesse Pennington

Student Events are planned and we look forward to the friendly competitions among our Texas Radiology Science Programs.  TSRT is excited to announce a new competition for our programs to participate in…RAD Tees!  Be sure you check out the latest Radiology Fashion our students are wearing.

Area Counselor Reports

North Texas Radiologic Technologist Society is getting ready for their Top 25 event.  Jeniesa Johnston, Northeast Area Counselor, will received the Living Legend Honor.  We are proud of her!!!

Executive Office Report – Lisa Ganus

TSRT 2016 is just around the corner!  Registrations are coming in!  We hope all of our members experience the Best of TSRT at TSRT 2016!  Take advantage of the convention highlights during the 84th TSRT Annual Meeting and Clinical Symposium.  RT’s will invade Forth Worth during the second weekend of March for the 2016 TSRT Annual Meeting.  This two day event is designed to provide every RT with countless continuing education sessions, professional networking opportunities and the opportunity to view the latest products at the TSRT Expo.  We’ll see you in Fort Worth!
